I have a vision of a festival celebrating dance and creative movement projects happening right here in Northwest Arkansas. I personally grew up in Washington and Benton counties, and my childhood was spent learning classical ballet in a carpeted church gym. I would love to make a space for dancers, dance instructors, choreographers, musicians, lighting designers, and other artists of all experience levels to come together for a festival celebrating dance here in our community.

The festival could be a unique opportunity for artists and dancers to create new choreography projects together, and have a performance at the end of the week. As a professional in the dance industry, I have spent countless hours on airplanes and in car rides traveling to where the dance professionals are hosting events. Our community of dancers deserves the opportunity to train, collaborate, and present new works just as much as folks in New York or Paris.

I am confident I have the skills, experience, and network to plan and execute a week long dance and movement festival with dance classes, workshops for disciplines like costuming and pedagogy, and choreography sessions, culminating in performance opportunities at the end of the week!
