The Medium is located at 214 South Main Street in Springdale, Arkansas. This 25,000 square foot performing and visual arts space houses a blackbox theater, 371-seat theater, green rooms, traditional gallery spaces, classrooms, and a flexible studio space. Each of these spaces are made available as part of our effort to expand equity, inclusion, and expression across artistic disciplines.
Creative Callbacks is a storytelling series spotlighting local and regional artists who are recipients of the Creative Exchange Fund, sharing how their work ripples through our communities. Launched in 2024 and now produced in partnership with KUAF and Ozarks at Large, the series brings artist voices to public radio across the region, amplifying their stories to more than 600,000 listeners.
Here at The Medium, we understand firsthand the growing need for accessible creative space for expression and experimentation. That’s why we created InnerSpace—an equitable, lottery-based program that offers our Blackbox free of charge to six artists and organizers. From March through August 2026, each recipient will take over the space for a full day to imagine, build, and gather through thoughtful, community-driven projects.
Our team is made up of working artists—from dancers and actors to painters, photographers, and beat-makers—so we know firsthand what it takes to make creative work in Northwest Arkansas. Artists are at the heart of everything we do: we talk about you, dream about you, and have your back at every step. We create a space where you can show up fully, take risks, and bring your vision to life, supported by a team that meets you with grace, understanding, and expertise.
