As with most musicians, I have many projects and monikers. The one I am most excited about is my ambient project, Half Power. Half Power was born in the throes of Covid while I lived in Manhattan, and was originally a way for me to sonically process all the turmoil that surrounded me. The music matches my many moods closely, moving between melancholic, hopeful, foreboding, and peaceful.
Over time, I’ve shared the music with others in hopes that it would help them also feel a sense of peace, or at least provide a musical companion to get through tough times and embrace the beauty of the daily dissonance we experience. My main goal with my music is to provide a space for reflexion. One of the greatest joys for me as an artist is to see my art impact others positively.
For this project, I want to bring these compositions to a larger audience. When posting my work online, I love to couple it with videos or photography I’ve taken of cities and nature. In addition to my own photography, there are several local photographers I’d like to collaborate with to add a synchronized visual.
