FAQ

I applied for the Creative Exchange Fund this year, can I also apply to be a Content Creator?

If you are a current 2025/2026 Creative Exchange Fund recipient you are not eligible to apply.

What is a Content Creator?

For the sake of this program, we’re viewing “content creators” as someone who creates digital content, specifically photos and videos captured with a smartphone.

What kind of content are you expecting?

We’re pretty open! As long as you are kind and capturing the movement, energy, art, and people of The Medium and the Creative Exchange Fund, we will be happy!

How much will Content Creators get paid?

There will be 15 Content Creators. Each Content Creator will receive a flat fee of $500. This fee covers the documentation of two separate Creative Exchange Fund events.

I have never been paid to take photos for social media at an event. Can I still apply?

Yes! We welcome all levels of experience. This is an opportunity for you to engage with the community, learn more about The Medium, and network with local artists.

Where will the events take place?

Content Creators will be paid to document events at The Medium in downtown Springdale.  The address is 214 South Main Street Springdale, Arkansas 72764

What events will I document?

Specifically, you will attend Creative Exchange Fund events. These could be anything from a music concert, a dance performance, an art reception, to an art supply swap. Check out our Artist Archive to see previous CXF projects. Once our cohort of Content Creators is determined, you will be assigned two different events on two separate dates to document.

What are the event dates? Do I get to choose them?

The Medium team will pre-assign your events and then introduce you to the project’s Lead Artist. From there, you will communicate and coordinate directly with the Lead Artist regarding the timing of their event. If you’re unable to attend a particular event, we will reassign you!

Do I need professional equipment?

No. All you need is a smartphone and existing social media platforms such as Instagram and/or Tiktok.

What if I don’t have a ton of followers, should I still apply?

Yes! We are less interested in the amount of followers you have and more curious about your artistic style, energy, and approach.

Does The Medium have any additional equipment available to use?

We have a collection of in-house camera equipment that you’re welcome to use while on site with prior approval. All equipment is based on availability at the time of your assigned events. You will need to coordinate with The Medium staff to reserve this equipment in advance.

When will I know if I was selected to participate as a Content Creator?

Content Creators will have their applications added to our Eligibility Selection Process ensuring fair and equal access to all. The Live drawing will take place on July 30, 2025 via zoom. All applicants will be notified by July 31, 2025.
