THE MEDIUM ARTIST RESIDENCIES
The Medium Artist Residency provides practicing 2D and 3D visual artists a creative studio space for six weeks; allowing them to take creative risks, expand artistically, and build relationships with the community.
Available Awards: 6 total, 2 artists per quarter
Disciplines: 2D and 3D Visual Art
Space at the Medium: Classrooms 1 & 2 (Roughly 20’’x32’’ per Artist; 320 sq. ft.)
Timeframe: 6 week residency with 3 weeks for move in/out
Eligibility
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Practicing 2D & 3D visual artists are eligible to apply
- Artists must reside in Benton or Washington Counties of Northwest Arkansas
- Resident projects must take into account studio dimensions, including a ceiling height of 8’
- Woodworking, welding, foundry work, and glassblowing are ineligible to apply due to facility limitations
- Artists in Residence will be required to host an open studio event during a pre-assigned quarterly Visual Art Night
- Applicants must commit to a minimum of 10 hours a week (60 hours total) on site during their 6-week residency
- Previous Artist in Residence recipients may not reapply for this fund
